FLTA Potluck

I attended the FLTA Potluck this past Wednesday during IEW. The potluck was the first time i’d ever met someone from Algeria. Amira was super interesting and shared a lot about the food that she had cooked and the cultural concepts that they represented. I found it interesting that she’s a Fulbright awardee from another country and learned that she has to do things like talk about her country to elementary school students in the region. I wonder what that presentation is going to be like and how the children will receive it based on concepts of positionality that we’ve learned in this class.
